Many of us, the doctoral students of the FoodBerlin - Universities, deal with the topic of nutrition. We come from different disciplines, look at nutrition from different perspectives and work with a variety of methods. While some of us deal with the production of foodstuffs, others of you may be interested in the processing, safety, marketing and/or health of our food. But we are all connected by the overarching question of what kind of food we will be eating in the future and how these foodstuffs will be produced. In order to answer this question and create a sustainable nutritional system, it is helpful to combine the knowledge and skills of different disciplines.

The FoodBerlin PhD student days will take place once a semester from the summer semester 2018 onwards. All doctoral students who are in contact with FoodBerlin via their specialist area or topic are invited to participate in the FoodBerlin PhD students’ days, to exchange views and to practise the presentation of their work in a pleasant environment.

The FoodBerlin PhD students’ days offer:

  • Opportunity to present your topic in an interdisciplinary framework
  • Discussion and exchange on your own topic as well as the topics of others
  • Networking with other doctoral candidates
  • Getting to know innovative projects, initiatives and companies from practice
