“Food for the Future<\/strong>” a lecture series with internationally distinguished speakers (in English) on topics related to sustainable food systems. In loose order several times a year. Hybrid event, currently mainly as webinar.<\/p>\n

“Science in the Dinosaur Hall<\/a><\/strong>“: A lecture series of the Faculty of Life Sciences of the HU Berlin and the Museum of Natural History Berlin. The lectures (in German by prominent speakers take place on Friday evenings at 19.30h in the famous “Sauriersaal” of the Museum of Natural History. Annual PhD Day<\/strong><\/p>\n

FoodBerlin holds an annual meeting on topics of food science where PhD students exchange ideas and get new inputs from the Berlin research community. Lectures, poster sessions, and discussions provide ideas and contacts with Berlin\u2019s food science scene. If you are interested in co-organizing such a meeting, please get in touch with us.<\/p>\n

Summer School<\/strong><\/p>\n

Studying during the day, and exploring Berlin in the evening. During a one-week summer school, you will get to know research projects and institutes of Berlin\/Brandenburg food groups through lectures and guided tours. The topics change every year. The group usually includes about 25 participants. Foreign participants might be eligible for a DAAD scholarships. Accommodation is by self-booking in a hostel\/hotel of your choice (we gladly give recommendations). You will be self-catering, whereby lunch can be taken in a canteen. Contact exchange<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do you consider writing a graduation thesis or doing your PhD on sustainable food systems? The contact exchange establishes direct connections between students or PhD students and scientists.
